I currently practice remotely (serving all California residents). In the future, there is also a possibility of meeting intermittently in person at my downtown San Francisco office if you are local.
How do I make an appointment?
You can set up an initial appointment with me by email or filling out the form located on my “contact” page. I am happy to speak with you for a free 30-minute phone consultation to learn about your needs prior to scheduling your first appointment.
What is the focus of our first appointment?
During our first appointment, I want to gain a better understanding of your needs and concerns, as well as get to know one another. Finding a good match with a therapist and establishing a therapeutic rapport are key factors for a successful therapy experience.
How often will I come to therapy?
Sessions last 50 minutes and typically occur every week or biweekly, though both the length and frequency may vary according to need. In order to experience the greatest gains in therapy, it is important to meet consistently.
Do you offer in person sessions?
I exclusively provide sessions remotely via an encrypted video conferencing platform. There is also the possibility of meeting intermittently in person at my downtown San Francisco office as a supplement to our remote sessions. Please ask me about this if you are interested.
What is your session rate? Do you have a sliding scale fee?
My session rate is 240.00 per 50 minute session. My fees for psychotherapy are based on the usual and customary rates for psychologists in the San Francisco Bay Area. I occasionally have room for sliding scale slots; please feel free to inquire about this.
During our initial phone or email correspondence, we will jointly agree on the fee and payment schedule.
Do you accept insurance?
I do not accept any insurance, but I can provide you with a monthly billing statement that you can submit to your insurance company for reimbursement. Please check with your insurance provider to clarify your specific mental health coverage.
What is your cancellation policy?
A 48-hour cancellation is required. If a session is missed or less than 48-hours is provided, a flat rate fee will be charged.
What forms of payment do you accept?
Credit card payment is electronically processed via Square automatically after every session. I accept HSA cards as well.
